About Assistant Commandant Exam
UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts written examination for recruitment of Central Armed Police Force- Assistant Commandants (Group A).
Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) e.g. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Note: Female candidates can not apply for BSF and ITBP.

Paper-1
General Mental Ability – Maths, Logical Reasoning Aptitude and Data Interpretation.
General Sceince – Basic Level of Science Based on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environment Extra.
Current Affairs – National & International Events.
Others – History, Polity & Geography
Paper-2
This paper is Of two parts – Part A and Part B. The exam has 200 marks with duration of 3 hours.
Part-A
Essay questions that is answered in long narrative in any Hindi or English Language (80 Marks).
Part-B
Comprehension, precis writing, communications skills, language skills. The Total is Of 120 Marks.
