Eligibility Criteria for PCS Exam Preparation:

PCS examination has the following eligibility criteria to be appearing in the PCS examination: Age Limit:

  • Candidate must have age from not less than 22 years & not more than 37 years.
  • In Punjab Police Services, for Deputy Superintendent Police candidate age must lie in between 21 years & 28 years.

  • Educational qualification:

  • The PCS examination candidate must be a bachelor’s degree holder from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
  • Final year students can also appear in the PCS examination.

    Exam Pattern:

    A preliminary examination consists of two papers. Paper I & paper II.

    Paper I has general studies subject with 100 questions and Paper II consists of the Civil Services Aptitude Test with 80 questions. The total marks contain 450 marks & the duration of time is 2 hours each paper.

    Mains examination consists of Punjabi, English, Essay, Paper I, II, III, IV (General Studies). All subjects contain 250 marks each except Punjabi & English because it contains 100 marks.
